With the EcoBlu you can display the current radon value and monitor the exposure in your household in real time. To view long-term results, change the mode. This allows you to check the daily, weekly, monthly or annual average values for radon.

The EcoBlu radon meter is designed to provide fast and accurate results of radon levels in your home or workplace directly on the LED display. The continuous radon monitoring in real time enables continuous monitoring of radon levels in the environment. By changing the mode, you can check daily to annual numerical radon trends. In addition, you will receive visual and/or audible alarms as soon as the radon levels exceed the set limits.

WHAT IS RADON?

What makes radon so dangerous?

Radon is a highly carcinogenic, radioactive noble gas
that you cannot see, smell or taste. If you breathe in high levels of radon and its radioactive by-products over a longer period of time, the risk of developing lung cancer increases considerably.

After smoking, radon is one of the most important causes of lung cancer. According to current findings, around five percent of deaths from lung cancer in Germany (over 1,900 per year) are attributable to radon and its decay products in buildings.

Take precautionary measures!

Only by measuring can you be sure of the actual radon levels in a building. Small measures are often all that is needed to significantly reduce indoor radon levels and the risk of lung cancer.

FAQ

Where should I set up the device?
Place EcoBlu at least 50 cm above the floor and away from the wall. Do not place EcoBlu near open windows or ventilation openings and keep it away from high heat and humidity. Place the device at least 61 cm away from WiFi routers and hotspot devices that can cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) to your device.

I suddenly see high radon levels, what should I do?
Please ensure that you install the device at least 61 cm away from WI-Fl routers and hotspot devices that may cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) to your device. If this is not the case, you can check whether your device is working well by carrying out a test outside, for example on the patio or in the garden. Position your device so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight or wind-blown earth, unless it is raining or storming. Place the appliance at a distance of 20 centimeters from the floor and walls and let it run for over an hour. If the radon levels rise above 37 Bq/m3 , your appliance may be faulty. Please contact our support team.

The radon value fluctuates throughout the day. Does the EcoBlu radon meter display the historical hourly readings?
The device updates the radon measurement value every 10 minutes in R mode. The average of the daily, weekly, monthly and all previous measurement times is also displayed.

Which measured values are considered safe for radon?
The BMUV recommends that limit values of 300 Bq/m3 should not be exceeded in recreation rooms or at the workplace.

How long is the data stored in long-term monitoring mode?
The memory of the EcoBlu can store radon measurement values for a maximum of 1 year. After 1 year, the oldest data is deleted.

What happens to the stored data if I move the device to another room?
If you move the device and start measuring at a different location, the device will be reset to R, W and M mode and you can obtain new readings. However, as the data is saved continuously in long-term monitoring mode, it is recommended that you reset the data before you start taking measurements after you have moved to another location.

How to factory reset the EcoBlu?
Press the M button on the back of the device for 10 seconds to enter the factory reset mode. A factory reset will erase data from your device and reset device settings to its original system state.

Does the EcoBlu monitor have an audible alarm if the radon levels are high?
Yes, EcoBlu has an audio alarm, and you can adjust the settings. You can turn the alarm on or off by clicking the S button on the back of the device. Press the S button for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode, then click the S button again to select alarm level. After selecting the alarm level setting, click the M button to select the desired alarm level. Press the S button for 3 seconds to complete the setting.

I plugged EcoBlu in and nothing happened. The unit appears to be dead.
Try these troubleshooting steps that could potentially resolve the issue you're having with your EcoBlu.
1. Try plugging the device into different outlets to check if the current outlet is functioning properly.
2. Test the device with an alternate power cable to see if there's an issue with the current cable.
3. Double-check if four dashed lines will appear after a couple of minutes.
If the monitor remains unresponsive after completing these steps, provide us with a photo of the setup to assist us in further diagnosing the problem.

How can I obtain/download data from the EcoBlu?
Since the EcoBlu device cannot be connected to the mobile app, it functions as a simple plug-and-play detector without data retrieval capabilities.

Tolles Gerät zum Radon- Monitoring
Habe das Gerät zur ständigen Radonüberwachung unseres Wohnraumes gekauft. Überzeugend finde ich, dass es ohne Bluetooth und Wlan auskommt, zudem ist es optisch schön Wohnraumtauglich. Die Messung wird alle 10 Minuten aktualisiert, sodass sich Lüftungserfolge auch recht schnell zeigen.
Alles in allem Top Gerät, nehme ich als Baubiologe gerne in meine Kundenempfehlung bei Radonbelastung mit auf.
