Tested structural radon gas protection: GasSTOP cable and pipe sleeves
In new construction, care should be taken to prevent harmful gases from entering living spaces through floor slabs, walls or ceilings. To prevent the radioactive noble gas radon from entering the building through areas in contact with the ground, barriers in the form of sealing measures and sufficiently thick layers of building materials should be provided. The convective entry of radon by means of air pressure differences must be avoided by making connections, joints, penetrations, etc. airtight.
The GasSTOP air sealing sleeves consist of an elastomer with an aluminium-butyl adhesive collar specially developed for this area of application. The special alu-butyl connection tape as well as the inner and outer corners ensure that your connections are permanently and securely sealed. The GasSTOP air sealing sleeves are tested for radon tightness and can be used above or below floor slabs, walls or ceilings.
