How to use your EcoBlu radon detector correctly:
Where should I set up the device?
Place EcoBlu at least 50 cm above the floor and away from the wall. Do not place EcoBlu near open windows or ventilation openings and keep it away from high heat and humidity. Place the device at least 61 cm away from WiFi routers and hotspot devices that can cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) to your device.
I suddenly see high radon levels, what should I do?
Please ensure that you install the device at least 61 cm away from WI-Fl routers and hotspot devices that may cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) to your device. If this is not the case, you can check whether your device is working well by carrying out a test outside, for example on the patio or in the garden. Position your device so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight or wind-blown earth, unless it is raining or storming. Place the appliance at a distance of 20 centimetres from the floor and walls and let it run for over an hour. If the radon levels rise above 37 Bq/m3 , your appliance may be faulty. Please contact our support team.
The radon value fluctuates throughout the day. Does the EcoBlu radon meter display the historical hourly readings?
The device updates the radon measurement value every 10 minutes in R mode. The average of the daily, weekly, monthly and all previous measurement times is also displayed.
Which measured values are considered safe for radon?
The BMUV recommends that limit values of 300 Bq/m3 should not be exceeded in recreation rooms or at the workplace.
How long is the data stored in long-term monitoring mode?
The memory of the EcoBlu can store radon measurement values for a maximum of 1 year. The oldest data is deleted after 1 year.
What happens to the stored data if I move the device to another room?
If you move the device and start measuring at a different location, the device is reset to R, W and M mode and you can obtain new readings. However, as the data is saved continuously in long-term monitoring mode, it is recommended that you reset the data before you start taking measurements after you have moved to another location.
