Description
Uranium glass: Ideal for testing your Geiger counter!
Uranium glass consists of ordinary glass containing uranium salts (uranium oxide). The proportion can be up to 0.3 % uranium. Under artificial light, the glass then unfolds its fluorescent effect; it glows green (anna green). Uranium glass is harmless because the uranium oxide is firmly bonded to the glass mass. The radiation itself is weak and can be neglected in terms of health. The balls are perfect for testing Geiger counters!
Uranium glass - safe radiation source, best suited to test your Geiger counter.
The radiation emitted (beta radiation) is low and does not exceed the limits permitted in Germany!
Two different sizes are offered.
Small = Size approx. 1 cm and a weight of 3-5 grams.
Large = size approx. 2 cm and a weight of approx. 15-20 grams
The shape of the uranium glass can vary (spherical, square, square, elongated, round, etc.).
