Our exposimeters are suitable for legally compliant and legally secure measurements at workplaces in a radon precautionary area in accordance with §§ 127, 128 of the Radiation Protection Act or within the scope of fields of activity in accordance with Annex 8 of the Radiation Protection Act.

Our exposimeters are therefore also approved by the LfU for the pilot project, as they are "passive, integrating solid-state trace detectors". They are considered to be one of the safest measurement methods for determining the radon concentration and for reliably determining the annual mean value. The exposimeters are analysed by our partner test laboratory ALTRAC following your measurement.

You can simply set up the PRD exposimeters in your offices and document the measurements using the log provided. The measurement duration can be determined individually, but it is recommended to measure for a whole year in order to know the exact radon situation in your building.

Meaningful values

The PRD exposimeter can provide meaningful values after just one month using the core trace measurement method. However, for optimum radon detection, a measurement period of at least 3 months, preferably 1 year, is recommended.

Legally recognised exposimeter (important for organisations and companies, but also private users such as landlords or tenants).

Laboratory evaluation included

After the laboratory analysis, which takes approximately 4-6 weeks, you will receive a detailed test report with the cumulative average values over the measurement period.

In addition, we are a state-recognised provider of radon measurements at workplaces in accordance with §155 of the Radiation Protection Act (BfS-A. 51163/06). We provide you with expert, comprehensive and reliable support for your mandatory radon measurements in workplaces.

Hinweise zur Auswertung

Please send your exposimeters in their original packaging, including the measurement report, directly to the ALTRAC test laboratory. You will find the address on the enclosed measurement report.
For organisational reasons, you will not receive a confirmation of receipt from the testing laboratory.
Depending on the volume, it may take 4 to 6 weeks to analyse the exposimeters.
All exposimeters are stored in a cool and radon-proof place until they are analysed so that your measurement results are not falsified.
Your results report, including a recommendation based on your measurement data, will be sent to the email address you provided when ordering.

WHAT IS RADON?

What makes radon so dangerous?

Radon is a highly carcinogenic, radioactive noble gas
that you cannot see, smell or taste. If you breathe in high levels of radon and its radioactive by-products over a longer period of time, the risk of developing lung cancer increases considerably.

After smoking, radon is one of the most important causes of lung cancer. According to current findings, around five percent of deaths from lung cancer in Germany (over 1,900 per year) are attributable to radon and its decay products in buildings.

Take precautionary measures!

Only by measuring can you be sure of the actual radon levels in a building. Small measures are often all that is needed to significantly reduce indoor radon levels and the risk of lung cancer.

Einfaches Handling
Da wir in einem Radongebiet wohnen, wurde ich neugierig auf dieses Produkt. Sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeiterin der Firma am Telefon, leider habe ich mir nicht den Namen geben lassen. Aber nochmals vielen Dank !!
Die Abwicklung des Kaufs lief absolut reibungslos, schnelle Lieferung ebenso.
Das Aufstellen meiner zwei bestellten Messstationen total einfach. Vorher die Beschreibung lesen und man kann nichts falsch machen. Nun sind wir auf das Ergebnis 2024 gespannt, wenn ich die Messstationen einschicke.
