The Alpha E is an ultra small continuous radon monitor for professional use. Due to the light weight and small dimensions it can perfectly be used to measure the personal radon exposure and to manage personal doses.

Based on a silicon diode diffusion chamber the sensitivity is 3 cph at 100 Bq/m³. Thus, also low radon levels below 100 Bq/m³ can be measured as specified by the latest WHO recommendations (12 % uncertainty at 1 sigma / 24 hrs.). The calculation of dose is possible due to a user-settable equilibrium factor. The development of the instrument is based on cooperation between Saphymo GmbH and the Helmholtz Zentrum, Munich. Extensive measurements and site-tests performed by the Helmholtz Zentrum prove the

validity of calibration and correct operation, even in higher humidity applications like in water works, mines, etc.

Up to 6 months battery life allows long-term measurement without mains power. Via USB port it is also possible to power the device permanently from mains supply.

AlphaE stores all measurement data in the internal flash storage. In 1 hr. measurement cycle up to 6 month of measurement data is available for read-out via the USB port. In addition to the radon measurement the data from the built-in tampering/movement detector and temperature sensor are recorded as well as the precise measurement time. Communication software is available for readout and export to Excel or DataEXPERT etc.

Seriöses kompaktes Radonmessgerät
Das Gerät ist kompakt, stabil verarbeitet und eignet sich auch gut zur Bestimmung der Personenexposition. Bedienung von Gerät und der beigepackten Software ist einfach und problemlos. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist klar und verständlich geschrieben. Die implementierte Gerätesoftware rechnet seriös, z.B. bei im 10 Miutenintervall angezeigten errechneten gleitenden Mittelwerten wird z.B. bei 110 - 570 Bq/m³ eine zugehörige Messunsicherheit von 39% bzw. 33% ausgewiesen.
